  June 2010 - Public presentation of the study "Labour Markets Performance and Migration Flows in Arab Mediterranean Countries", was held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, 19:00 p.m. at the office of the Regional Representation of the European Commission in Barcelona (Pg de Gràcia, 90).The study was performed on behalf of the European Commission (DG ECFIN and DG Employment nº ECFIN/D/2008/036), and was carried out during 2009 by the European University Institute (RSCAS) Florence.   November 2009- Lecture  “The road not traveled: Education reform in the MENA region”

The Ramón Areces Foundation hosted a conference on education reform in the MENA region on November 19th 2010 in Madrid. Co-organized with the CREMed, the event featured a lecture adressed by Dr. Ahmed Galal, Director of the Economic Research Forum in Cairo, Egypt, a regional research institution covering the Arab countries, Iran and Turkey.


  November 2008 - Presentation Institutional Change and Development in the Middle East and North Africa by Mustapha K. Nabli on the occasion of the CREMed Inaugural Event. The Center for Research on the Economies of the Mediterranean was inaugurated on the 7th of November 2008. The Inaugural Act was presided by the Hble. Mr. Josep Huguet (Conseller d’Innovació, Universitats i Empresa de la Generalitat de Catalunya), Mr. Senén Florensa (Director General of IEMed) and Mr. Andreu Mas-Colell (Chairman of the Barcelona GSE).
